Fair and Rodeo Parade

Saturday, July 28, 2018

Dear Huskie Families,

The Douglas County Fair Parade is Saturday, July 28th! The Junior Class is hosting this event and we would love your help to make it a success! This is a great opportunity to get a jump on your volunteer hours before the season starts.

WHO: 20 volunteers are needed to serve burritos and beverages
WHEN: 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. (or until the event wraps up), Saturday July 28th

Please visit the Club website and click on the Volunteer tab:

ALL DC HUSKIE PLAYERS are invited to participate in the parade. It is a great team tradition, where Seniors ride on top of the iconic Purple Bus and underclassmen walk behind the bus. Players should be dropped off at 7:15 a.m. on Plum Creek Parkway, near Safeway. Find the Purple Bus in the parade line and WEAR YOUR PURPLE JERSEY! If you still have Huskie Cards, you can sell them at the parade.

FAMILIES: Please join us in front of the firehouse on Perry Street to watch the parade. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m.

Any questions, please email or text me at: or 720-224-8043.

The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo is a family tradition featuring two entertainment stages, three PRCA Rodeos, Xtreme Bulls, Carnival, Antique Tractor Pull, Mutton Bustin’, Stick Horse Rodeo, Pancake Breakfast, 4-H and FFA exhibits – including livestock, general projects and the Jr. Livestock Sale. The Fair Parade, which originated in 1954, has long since become a staple of the summer’s liveliest weekend of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo’s public events.
